History

The Kawaleria Restaurant is situated in the heart of the beautiful Cracow city at the charming Golebia Street, at No 4. The unique atmosphere of the city will not leave you when you cross our thresholds. The original interior design, wherein old Poland and its customs seems to be still alive certainly will be interesting for all of our guests.

The restaurant offers three dining rooms. In one of them you can find a children’s corner with an enormous chest full of toys and a wooden rocking horse. The seasonal garden illuminated with candles, immersed in the green is an ideal place for a romantic dinner. All meetings among family, friends or co-workers organized in such an unusual place will remain in your memories for a long time.

We organize wedding receptions, occasional parties such as first communions, baptisms, anniversaries as well as business meetings, celebratory dinners after the defense of scientific degrees, ceremony dinners, corporate events, conferences and banquets. We have an individual approach to every reception according to the preferences and needs of our guests.

We have been receiving distinctions and awards for many years. Sixth time in a row Kawaleria among the best restaurants in Poland recommended by Gault & Millau for 2020. From 2011, every year, we received the “Certificate of Excellence” by the largest travel portal TripAdvisor, based on the reviews of guests who have visited our restaurant. American magazine called Entrée admitted the gold quality award among the best restaurants in the world to Kawaleria. Polish Chamber of Tourism awarded Kawaleria Certificate***** for highest quality of services provided by global standards of Golden ranking among the 100 best hotels and restaurants in Poland. In 2014 we organized a charity auction and managed to collect almost fifty thousand zloty for the patients of Malta Hospital in Barczewo (Poland). Kawaleria restaurant has been supporting the foundation of Anna Dymna “In spite of all” for years.
